Non-Life Threatening Emergencies

After clinic hours: call Urgent Care at 617-495-5711
You may be directed to go to a nearby Emergency Room, or to come to the After Hours Urgent Care Clinic (AHUCC) at Holyoke Center in Harvard Square. The entrance to the AHUCC is midway down the parking ramp beneath Holyoke Center, accessible from both Dunster and Holyoke Streets, near the Mt. Auburn Street end of the block.
Students who require transportation to the AHUCC are advised to call the Harvard University Police Department at 617-495-1212. Longwood Medical Area students living on campus, who are directed to the AHUCC, may obtain cab vouchers from the Vanderbilt Hall security desk attendant.
ASSISTING A STUDENT WHO IS IN DISTRESS
- If you have immediate concerns about a student's safety, stay with the student and notify HUHS Mental Health Services (see above). State that you wish to report an urgent mental health issue.
- After you have alerted HUHS, it is advisable to accompany the student to HUHS at Holyoke Center or at the appropriate health clinic on your campus. If that is not feasible, call the Harvard University Police Department at 617-495-1212 and state that you need to request a medical transport.
- Remain with the student until the police arrive.
